Double award shortlisting for purpose-focused comms consultancy

Updated: Jul 16, 2021

Second Mountain Comms has been shortlisted for two categories at the 2021 Creative Bath Awards - a celebration of Bath's creativity.

The communications consultancy, which specialises in supporting ethically-minded and purpose-driven businesses, has been named a finalist for two awards: 'Creativity for Good' and 'Startup'.

Second Mountain Comms is one of nine organisations - alongside last year's category winner 44AD, Bath Aphasia Choir, Bath Festivals, Blubolt, Genesis Trust Bath, Life Skills, House of Imagination, Jenna Rainey and Matt Finch - in the running for 'Creativity for Good', which recognises firms who look to use their creative resources to make Bath a better place, who use technology to improve people's lives, or who use the creative talents to benefit charities and social enterprise. Second Mountain Comms was established in August 2020 to help good people do good, and is proud to donate a fifth of its time providing pro-bono marketing & PR support to local charities.

The 'Startup' category also sees the comms consultancy in fine company alongside fellow new businesses Backpack, Celestial, Lacey Architecture and Refillable Co - and follows on from Second Mountain being also named a 'New Business' finalist in the upcoming Bath Life Awards.

Ben Veal, founder and director of Second Mountain Communications, comments:

I'm absolutely over the moon to be shortlisted for not one, but two, Creative Bath Awards: it's been a hugely exciting first 12 months for Second Mountain Comms, and this really is the icing on the cake at the end of a year that has exceeded all of my personal expectations. I'm greatly looking forward to the Creative Bath Awards ceremony later this year and having the opportunity to celebrate the many fantastic businesses and individuals that make Bath such a creative and vibrant place.

Second Mountain is also delighted to see our fab friends at Young Blooms Florists named as Creative Bath finalists too this year: the supremely talented Grace Farrimond is one of just four that are competing for the prestigious 'Maker' award, shining a spotlight on the skill, creativity and technical knowledge that goes into creating stunning handmade items. We'll be keeping our fingers firmly crossed for Young Blooms come awards night!

The 2021 Creative Bath Awards are due to take place in late summer 2021. Latest information and a full list of finalists can be found at www.creativebathawards.org.
