Purpose-driven podcast gains first corporate partner

Resilient Leaders Elements pledges support to fast-growing show

A popular podcast and YouTube show - recorded at Wiltshire’s Glove Factory Studios and broadcast worldwide - has officially gained its first corporate partner in a strategic move that looks to expand its global reach and impact.

Second Mountain Comms and Resilient Leaders Elements

Good Journeys with Second Mountain shares inspiring stories and lessons learned from all walks of life. The show is hosted by award-winning PR professional, journalist and the founder of Second Mountain Comms, Ben Veal, and produced by highly-experienced filmmaker Adam Loretz, director of Loretz Visuals.

Since its launch in 2022, the #GoodJourneysPod has swiftly gained an international audience and built up a firm reputation for delivering honest, candid and insightful interviews with guests spanning the globe. Interviewees so far have included purpose-driven business owners and social mobility campaigners, authors and sports stars, as well as individuals working in the third sector and lived experience advocates.

Each conversation takes listeners and viewers on a personal journey of self-discovery, as special guests recall the challenging circumstances that have impacted their lives and the steps taken to understand and overcome them.

Resilient Leaders Elements (RLE), a professional leadership development business that has a vision to make world-class leadership development available for all, has now come on board as the first official corporate partner to the show.

Rachel McGill, co-founder of RLE and consultant community development lead, comments:

“Resilience is more important in today’s world than ever before; we’re living in uncertain and ever-changing times, and learning and building practical leadership skills is an essential step to thriving and being empowered to succeed in life today.
“Our business journey began with one aim: to provide leaders at all levels with the tools and knowledge they need to build their personal and professional resilience and cope with whatever comes their way. Our business journey continues now as proud partners of ‘Good Journeys with Second Mountain’, a show with purpose at its heart that is committed to sharing powerful stories of resilience, overcoming adversity and moving forward with clarity of direction.”

Ben Veal, host of ‘Good Journeys with Second Mountain’ and founder of Second Mountain Comms, adds:

“Over the past two decades spent working in the media, I’ve learnt that everyone has an amazing story to share, if you take the time to listen and ask the right questions. The driving purpose of ‘Good Journeys with Second Mountain’ is to provide a platform for incredible people’s real-life journeys, the challenges faced along the way, and learnings that can help others.
"The concept of the show has clearly resonated with many, and just a year in the podcast is now listened to over 25 countries. Now, in strategic working partnership with the team at Resilient Leaders Elements, we can reach an even wider audience and share yet more powerful stories.”

The 'Good Journeys with Second Mountain' show has recently been shortlisted for two industry awards - 'Best Use of Content' and 'Best Channel Delivery' - at the 2023 CIPR PRide Awards, taking place next month.
